Experience

2008-current
Mediator in private practice.

1991-2007

Marital Master, New Hampshire Superior Court and New Hampshire Family Division. As a Marital Master since 1991, I have presided over thousands of divorce and parenting actions, domestic violence cases, and child support lawsuits. From the temporary to the final hearing as well as matters brought forward after a final decree issued, I have years of judicial experience focused upon family issues. With the exception of requests for incarceration, I heard all disputed issues. In that I truly believe that an agreement reached by the parties without coercion is the best manner in which to resolve family-related issues, it was my practice on the bench to facilitate discussion among the parties and counsel with a goal of reaching a mutually acceptable stipulation.

1987-1991
Deputy Clerk, Rockingham Superior Court with a concentration in the Marital Division. I was primarily responsible to the Masters, court staff, counsel and pro se litigants in both an administrative and advisory capacity.

1983-1987
Private practice, associate and partner at the Giles Law Office. For four years, I had a private law practice with emphasis on personal injury, medical malpractice, and workers' compensation matters.
